new delhi: government has decided to set up a committee to review the functioning of private companies which charter aircrafts and their maintenance. "we are setting up a committee shortly" to review the functioning of the companies chartering planes and maintenance of such aircraft, civil aviation minister syed shahnawaz hussain said on monday. the government's move comes in the wake of sunday's crash involving a private chartered plane in which senior congress leader madhavrao scindia and seven others were killed and other such accidents in the recent past. hussain, however, declined to give details about the composition of the committee.
