Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kerala

Situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple is the richest temple in India. Treasure amounting to nearly INR 1 lakh crore in gold, jewels, and crowns lies hidden in its secret underground vaults. The temple houses a golden idol of Mahavishnu valued at Rs 500 crore. With an estimated net worth of Rs 1,20,000 crore, it is a symbol of untold prosperity.

Tirumala Tirupati Temple, Andhra Pradesh

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, or Andhra Pradesh's Tirumala Tirupati, is India's second richest temple. It was constructed in the 10th century and gets nearly 50 crore 37 lakh in daily donations. The temple vaults carry over 52 tonnes of gold, and over 3,000 kg are banked every year. Its net worth is approximated to be Rs 650 crore.

Vaishno Devi Temple

Vaishno Devi Temple has more than 10 million devotees visiting it annually. It has about 1.2 tonnes of gold and collects donations of INR 500 crore in a year. The temple's religious status and high population of devotees contribute to its wealth to a large extent.

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Maharashtra

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is one of the biggest centres of pilgrimage with a net worth of about INR 2,000 crore. Its own bank balances amount to INR 1,800 crore, besides 380 kg of gold, more than 4,400 kg of silver, and cash in foreign currencies. Being a top spiritual destination, the temple's wealth is derived from the devotion of millions of devotees and therefore is one of the wealthiest temples of Sai Baba.

Golden Temple, Punjab

Sri Harmandir Sahib, commonly referred to as the Golden Temple, is the most sacred temple in Sikhism in Amritsar, Punjab. It was renovated in 1830 using marble and gold by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and it represents purity of mind and richness. The temple's graceful architecture, gold-plated exterior, and huge religious value contribute to it being among the richest religious sites in India.
