A quick guide to Delhi’s 5 best leather markets: Jackets, boots, bags, and more

Winter is coming, and with it is coming the undeniable urge to shop. There’s something magical about the season: the crisp air, cozy cafes, and, of course, leather that makes every outfit feel luxe. Whether it’s a sleek leather jacket to fight off the chill, boots that add confidence to every step, or a bag that turns heads on your commute, winter is the perfect excuse to invest in leather pieces that can last for years.
Finding high-quality leather at affordable prices is more difficult for many people than simply finding leather. Delhi offers the best of both worlds with its blend of vibrant street marketplaces and brand-conscious centres. There are places in the city where leather enthusiasts may indulge stress-free, from quirky, affordable bargains to high-street fashion favourites. And let's be honest, there's a certain satisfaction to browsing a busy market, finding the ideal jacket or bag, and leaving knowing you got a good deal.
With winter vibes in full swing, these are the five Delhi leather markets you absolutely can’t miss this season.

2/6

Paharganj

Paharganj is the place to start if you're looking for stylish leather at a reasonable price. The streets are vibrant, a little chaotic, and brimming with the spirit of shopping. The selections are infinite, ranging from boots and sandals to vibrant bags and satchels. Important locations include Ashu Fashions for dresses, boots, and accessories, Sheetal Exports for bags, and Bittoo Chappal Store. Bags and shoes start at about INR 350 and INR 500, respectively. You'll be walking a lot, so wear comfortable shoes! RK Ashram is the closest metro stop.

3/6

Karol Bagh

For those who love raw leather, Karol Bagh is a paradise. Shops here stock every type of leather to rolls of faux leather in every imaginable color. If you’ve ever dreamed of custom-made shoes or bags, Karol Bagh’s artisans can make it happen. Prices start at about INR 350. The nearest metro station is Karol Bagh Station.

4/6

Sarojini Nagar

In addition to being well-known for its affordable clothing, Sarojini Nagar is a secret leather paradise. Discover ballet flats, tasselled loafers, knee-high boots, ankle boots, clutches, and bags by exploring the export lanes. Shoes start at about INR 700, while accessories start at about INR 250. Always examine the quality, and don't be afraid to haggle. Additionally, Sarojini Nagar (pink line) and Dilli Haat INA (yellow line) have convenient metro access.

5/6

Palika Bazaar

Nestled beneath Connaught Place, Palika Bazaar is a classic underground shopping experience. While known for electronics and apparel, the leather section is surprisingly extensive. From jackets to boots to bags, there’s plenty to explore—just watch out for fake leather. Location: Inner Circle, CP.

6/6

Yashwant Place

One of the perks of visiting Yashwant Place for leather shopping? Go to the underground shopping centre to find a wide selection of leather boots and coats in every conceivable style. Say out loud what you're looking for, and you may easily have it custom-made here. The average price of a leather jacket is INR 1,000, with significantly less expensive accessories. To be sure you're getting your money's worth when you purchase, thoroughly examine the leather quality and pay attention to the smaller features like buttons, zippers, and stitching. Meetu Leather Garments (Shop 55) and Ajay Leather Bags (Shop 42) are among the stores worth seeing. Lok Kalyan Marg is the closest metro station.
