When the sun sets, the night sky turns beautiful in India with a canvas of stars creating a breath-taking landscape. From the barren stillness of Ladakh’s high-altitude deserts to the lush Himalayan valleys and Rajasthan’s wide-open dunes, the country offers some of the world’s most spellbinding stargazing spots. Since Astro-tourism is on the rise, travellers must stay at these campsites that we are going to list down for you to witness a heaven-like view surrounded by serene natural beauty and a star-studded sky:

The Spiti Valley is known for its eco-friendly activities such as trekking, camping, and river rafting. The night sky here is absolutely stunning, especially near villages such as Langza, Kibber, and Hikkim. These locations provide the perfect opportunity for stargazing and astrophotography. Visitors can also go to the ancient monasteries nearby such as Key, Tabo, and Dhankar, or visit the beautiful Chandra Taal Lake. One should definitely visit here between April and October for a more enhanced experience.

Nubra Valley, Ladakh

The Nubra Valley is a high-altitude valley located in Leh of Ladakh, between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges.
