Nestled in the heart of Delhi, Lodhi Garden spans 90 acres and combines Mughal-era tombs with sprawling lawns and tree-lined paths. It’s a perfect space for families to sit together and enjoy a quick picnic. Lodhi Garden’s historical monuments are pretty photogenic too. Located in Chanakyapuri, Nehru Park is a sprawling 80-acre park in the diplomatic enclave. It is famous for its well-maintained lawns, children’s play areas, and cycling tracks. It is open daily from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM with free entry.

Located in Hauz Khas Village, Deer Park offers a mix of wildlife and history. Behind the fences, there are herds of spotted deer, peacocks, and rabbits. The park is open daily from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM with free entry.

Located in Saidul Ajaib, Saket, this 20-acre thematic park is a sensory delight. The garden features colorful flower beds, art installations, and water features. There are interactive sculptures and play zones for kids, and ample open space for families to sit together for a lovely picnic. while families can enjoy picnics or food from on-site stalls. The garden is open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and entry costs INR 35 for adults and INR 20 for kids.

Located at Nizamuddin, New Delhi, Sunder Nursery is a 90-acre heritage park near Humayun’s Tomb. The park’s children’s playground, lotus ponds, and botanical trails are a crowd favourite. Formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, Amrit Udyan is one of the best things in Delhi. Located in Rashtrapati Bhavan, this historic garden is open to the public in February–March. The garden features stunning floral displays of tulips, roses, and lilies. Explore the manicured lawns and learn about Mughal-style landscaping. The garden is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM during its annual opening season, and has free entry with online booking.

Located in Ridge Road, Buddha Jayanti Park or Gautam Buddha Park is known for its serene ambiance and Buddha statue. This park near Dhaula Kuan offers forested trails and picnic spots. Buddha Jayanti Park is less crowded than others, and is perfect for peaceful family time. The park is open from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM with free entry.

This unique park is located in Sarai Kale Khan, and features replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World made from industrial waste. The park offers a fun and educational experience for kids and adults alike. There is a cafeteria that takes care of refreshing drinks and snacks. The park is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM (closed Mondays). The entry fee is INR 50 for adults and INR 25 for children aged 4-12.
