Monet's nature art

Claude Monet, the brilliant artist who was a true nature lover, is a name that everyone in and out of the art circles knows of. From his garden in Giverny in real life that was bustling with wildflowers, lilies, and ponds, to the gardens and nature in his creations that captivate audiences even today, Monet’s work is simply unparalleled. He had a kind of sway and beauty in his hand that made his artworks feel like a capture of a fleeting moment, something that can never be repeated or redone.
And as a master of all things nature, here we mention some of the most beautiful paintings by Monet that show us nature’s beauty.

2/6

‘The Water Lily Pond’

One of the most beautiful paintings by Monet, ‘The Water Lily Pond’ looks as simple as it sounds. It features a Japanese style arching wooden bridge, water flowing below at a slow, still pace, and lilies and bushes surrounding the area. The mix of greens, whites, pink, and more colours gives the painting a harmonious and balanced look.
And what adds to the beauty of the painting is that there are no sharp or clear cuts between the grass or between the flowers, it is all kind of blurred and layered, and there is a certain shimmer that makes it look like ripples in the water.

‘Artist’s Garden at Giverny’

A person who loves gardening can only wish to have a garden like Monet’s. This painting is of Monet’s own garden and the overflow and burst of colours in this one is simply a delight. The blooms are in so many different colours, from purple to pink to yellow to green, it almost feels like one wildflower gave way to many more. But the way they are all separated in lines and paths, it shows how much effort went into trimming the garden.
The natural clusters of flowers, the short brushstrokes by Monet in the painting, and the fleeting appeal of the painting makes it all look worthwhile.

4/6

‘Women in the Garden’

Another beautiful Monet creation that takes people straight into nature is ‘Women in the Garden’.
The painting shows four women dressed in beautiful, flowing white gowns, with 3 women standing between the flowers and bushes and one sitting down right on the ground, and is holding an umbrella, complementing her dress. There is sunlight coming through the trees and falling straight to the ground, and partly on the women, and the dresses, the grass, the flower, a clear pathway, all of it comes together perfectly in the creation.

5/6

Haystack at Giverny

Another painting by Monet that will take the audience straight to nature and love-like surroundings is Haystack at Giverny. The painting shows not just a haystack, the ordinary yellow kind, but also a bustling garden nearby with orange blooms and a beautiful sky.
The haystack is covered in golden light, the flowers around are orange, and the grass and bushes are swaying with the wind. The houses afar are a little blurry but beautiful nonetheless, and the mix of purple and blue in the sky puts together a dreamlike location.

6/6

Woman with a Parasol

One of Monet’s most famous paintings, ‘Woman with a Parasol’ features Monet’s wife and his kid. It shows his wife standing on a grassy hill, holding an umbrella in hand, and there is a young boy right beside her. And in this artwork, Monet shows the beauty of nature by depicting the element of wind and how it makes things move gracefully. The dress worn by the woman flows slightly, the grass too is tilted in a certain direction, and the way the shadows fall and create a sense of depth is simply beautiful.
