7 festivals that may not be the same for us anymore

The present world looks like fiction. People are scared to stand close to each other and even look into each other's' eye, we are scared to hug our loved ones and even learnt the art to stay happy without physically meeting friends and those in our social circle. If this is the way forward, there are a few festivals around the world that may not be the same gala events generating excitement for us anymore.
2/8

Tomorrowland - Belgium

One of the most popular music festivals across the globe, Tomorrowland is Mecca for music lovers. This year, because of the pandemic, it is not confirmed yet if the festival will happen in the month of July. Belgium is greatly affected with Coronavirus and it will take a lot of time for people to be mentally ready to visit the country.
3/8

La Tomatina - Buñol, Spain

Held in the town of Buñol, this is one of the most popular festivals in which people throw tomatoes and get into tomato fights for fun. But with nearly two lakh cases, Spain is one of the European countries badly affected with the outbreak of coronavirus. And the social interaction in the country will not be normal for a long time.
4/8

Ocktoberfest - Germany

One of the most popular global events, Ocktoberfest is a great attraction for travellers and friends. Scheduled for September 19 this year, but looking at the condition of pandemic in the country, the volkfest looks weak this year.
5/8

Carnevale - Venice, Italy

The annual festival of Venice could not happen this year. But looking at the rising cases in Italy, the world-famous festival known for its huge masks, might not get many visitors next year too.
6/8

Mardi Gras - New Orleans

Beads, masks, king cakes and music, the vibe of this parade is infectious. But with the pandemic, the spirit of thi festival will be greatly affected. We just wish that we all come out this crucial time soon safe and spend exuberant times again.
7/8

Holi - India

Holi is the festival of colours and celebrating vibbrance. While India has been fighting the battle against coronavirus brilliantly, public gatherings, getting too close and enjoying carefree is something that Indians will have to work upon later. Most of us will be avoiding such festivals.
8/8

Cannes Film Festival - French Riviera

The international film festival is one of the greatest attraction globally. While the dates have been announced on the website, the event might get postponed or cancelled looking at the conditions in France.
