Working out hard, no matter what
In 2021, as reported by Vogue, her trainer Namrata Purohit who is a pilates expert and celebrity trainer, while talking about Kareena’s fitness training said that, “She walks into sessions all pumped up, the best thing about working out with her is that she gives it her all.
Sometimes, I catch her looking at me with a ‘Why are you doing this to me' face, but I know, and she knows, that she loves doing this.
She is always game for trying new things and has the most fun with new exercises.”
Being a mother makes you stronger
Kareena, a mother to two of her sons, Taimur and Jehangir was active, during her both pregnancies.
“I think it’s very important that one has movement in their body. It could be in any form; going for a walk, weight training or swimming,” shares Kapoor Khan.
Her advice is crystal clear: “One should do what they’re able to. I have never really pushed myself, I have done whatever I wanted to do, but not to the point of where I am exhausted.”

A big fan of kickboxing
Kickboxing is something that includes a number of movements such as front kicks, roundhouse kicks, side kicks, and others. It is mainly associated with cardio, strength exercises, footwork drills and sparring.
Kareena is a big fan of this. She always practised kick boxing with her trainer Drew Neal to release her pent up energy. She believes it improves her mental health.
“The reason why boxing or kickboxing is good for your mental health is because it helps you release pent-up aggression through a positive activity instead of anger. And releasing your aggression will help you heal your mind and think clearly,” she says.
Workout alone won't work
Kareena believes one cannot achieve their fitness goal without integrating proper diet with their workout routine. It is essential for one to have healthy meals, to make their fitness routine effective.
The actress had worked with nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, and the two often worked together to tweak Kapoor Khan's routine in accordance with her needs.
Her diet is a mixture of carbs, fats and protein. Rice and wheat are extremely essential to her. Greens like spinach, broccoli, and fenugreek make their way into her diet.
You will see a mix of carbs, fats and protein. Grains like rice and wheat are important to Kapoor Khan. What's not on the menu? A strict diet that is too hard to maintain. “I’m a Kapoor, we love our food, and I can’t diet," she shared in 2018.
Yoga, her go to exercise
Kareena began her yoga journey in 2006, and has kept her going strong right up to the birth of her second child.
She involves a number of asanas to bring natural glow, flexibility and overall well-being.
She does Surya Namaskar which is beneficial for improving digestion, and cleanses the skin, keeping Kareena youthful and fit overall.
After becoming a mother to two of her babies, she once wrote on an instagram post declaring that, “now after two babies and four months postpartum...this time I was just exhausted and in too much pain to get back but today I’m slowly and steadily getting back at it. My yoga time is my me time and of course, consistency is key, so, keep at it people.”
