Lord Hanuman, the epitome of devotion

One of the most beloved Gods in Hindu beliefs is undoubtedly Lord Hanuman. He is the deity who gives the blessings of strength, wisdom, power, clarity, pure living, and so much more. He is the God who is also a devotee to his God (Lord Ram), and even though he is the Maha Balwan (the great, strong one), he remains forever in the feet of Lord Ram, forever at his service.
His devotion to Lord Ram, and all he did in the Ramayana, made him the epitome of courage, loyalty, and humility.

The Hanuman Chalisa

The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40-verse hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman that talks about his achievements, his nature, his strengths, his qualities, and much more. It was written by Tulsidas ji and is in Awadhi language which makes it understandable for most people. Each verse of the Hanuman Chalisa is filled with divine energy and chanting it brings immediate calm and peace to the mind.

3/7

Why to chant Hanuman Chalisa - For physical health

Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa daily is believed to bring both mental and physical well-being. The vibrations created by chanting the verses of Hanuman Chalisa are said to align the body and mind, and the energies help in healing you from the inside out. Many people believe that just like Lord Hanuman saved Lakshman’s life by bringing the Sanjeevani on time, he helps protect his devotees from physical harm.

4/7

Takes away mental stress

Chanting the Hanuman Chalisa even twice a day can make people calmer, more patient, and just have better mental health in general. Why? Well, the verses of Hanuman Chalisa when chanted repeatedly put the brain in a meditative state. The chanting calms you down, helps keep the restlessness away, and the anxiety vanishes with regular chanting.
Many people also believe that by focusing on Lord Hanuman’s energies, and by being loyal to your devotion and duty, Lord Hanuman himself blesses you with a part of his qualities.

5/7

Protection from evil and harm

Just like Lord Hanuman saved Lord Ram from AhiRavan in the Panchmukhi form, in the same way, chanting the Hanuman Chalisa helps people be free from evil and harm of any kind. He was the protector of many during the Ramayana, and he does the same for his devotees as well. It is believed that the powerful vibrations and energies that are a part of the verses keep any kind of negativity away from the chanting person, and forms a shield over him or her that helps keep evil away.

6/7

Helps in removing hurdles

Life is filled with obstacles, both big and small. And Lord Hanuman, who moved mountains to serve Lord Ram, is the go-to God for many to keep troubles and hurdles away. It is believed that regularly chanting the Hanuman Chalisa invokes the blessings of Lord Hanuman and he then helps devotees overcome challenges in their personal, professional, or spiritual lives.

7/7

Attracts the blessings of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman

Being devoted to Lord Hanuman is not just for him, but also for Lord Ram. It is not just Lord Hanuman who is devoted to Lord Ram, but Lord Ram’s love for him is also priceless and pure. And so, by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa devotees pray to Lord Hanuman and also come in the eyes of Lord Ram as a devout follower and pure-hearted person.
