The legacy of a 400-year-old temple

The Rajarajeshwari Tripura Sundari Temple is believed to have been established around 400 years ago, by a tantric named Bhawani Mishra. According to local beliefs, he carefully selected this sacred spot to build this shrine to honor the great Goddess Tripura Sundari and other deities as well. The temple was designed to follow both, Vedic as well as tantric rituals, a combination that has been faithfully preserved over the centuries. Tantra practitioners consider that this temple is particularly powerful, and has special energy to its location and consecrated deities. Pilgrims often visit this temple in a hope of attaining divine blessings, spiritual awakening from the Goddess herself. Apart from being a religious place, this temple is also a testament to Bihar's rich culture and history that attracts devotees from far and wide.
