Simple cleanse for your home

Negativity and stagnant energies can take the colours out of our lives. These energies can come along with people or objects, or just accumulate because of our own actions. Negativity can be brought in by people who do not wish to see you grow, or old items that belonged to people with a negative vibe. And if you are someone who does not tidy up your home too often or there is too much clutter all around, this can lead to stagnant energy.
And so, if you want to clear these off, here are some ways to protect your home and self.

2/7

The cinnamon ritual

Cinnamon is a spice that is commonly available in every household. And to put the cherry on the cake now, Cinnamon is not just a kitchen spice but can also be used in cleansing and abundance rituals. It is said that sprinkling Cinnamon in the corners of the home will keep away any negativity and also attract positive abundance towards the house.

Just take some cinnamon powder in your hand and with an intention for purification sprinkle it a little along the corners of the home.

3/7

Burn some sage

Burning sage, also known as smudging, is another powerful way to cleanse your home of negative energy. Sage smoke is said to purify the air and remove any negativity from the surroundings.

To perform a sage cleanse, just light a bundle of sage and once it starts emitting smoke gently brush it across the home. The doors, corners, windows, mirrors, and everything that can attract energy. Make sure to repeat some positive prayers and affirmations as you do this.

4/7

Plant rosemary near the doors

Rosemary is a powerful herb not just for your hair, but also for your home. Rosemary has been used since ages in cleansing rituals, abundance practices, and the likes. It is believed that placing Rosemary twigs and leaves near the doors can help your home stay protected from evil intentions.
Plus, having a healthy Rosemary plant near the doorways, be it entrance or the balcony doors, can help protect the home from negative energies.

5/7

Sound cleansing

Just like sage burning and rosemary cleansing, sound cleansing is also a great way to remove any stagnant energies from the home. And so, hanging bells and chimes can help break up the stagnant or negative energy and replace it with positive vibrations.

When bells and chimes produce their sound waves, they pierce through the dormant energy, removing them, and creating way for positivity.

6/7

Camphor burning

Camphor, or Kapur, is an important part of Hindu rituals. Be it early morning worship, or cleansing during Havan and Yagya, Camphor is used in them all. Burning camphor can help cleanse your home of negative energies and create a protective atmosphere.

Just keep a small piece of camphor on a heat-resistant dish or in an incense burner and then light it. Once it starts burning, it emits a pleasant fragrance and smoke. Take the camphor to all the parts of your house and let the smoke fill the rooms. As the camphor burns, think about how the smoke purifies your space and removes any negative energies.

7/7

White candles for purification

White candles are also used in spiritual practices for purification and protection. Burning white candles with the intention of cleansing your home can help remove negative energies and make way for positivity.
Keep a thick white candle near your entry door and anytime you feel like someone with negative energy has come into your home, as soon as they leave, light the white candle with the intention of removing their energy from your house.
It is said that this creates a positive spell around the house.
