The importance of mantras

For Hindus all over the world, mantras and chants are something that are taught early on in life. A child as little as 3 years old can recite the Gayatri mantra and chant OM and then they are taught the Hanuman Chalisa, the Mahamrityunjay mantra, and much more. These mantras help children and adults have a sense of inner peace. As the mantras talk about protection, removing obstacles, achieving success, and the likes, it helps people keep a positive attitude in the face of problems and adversities.
Here we list 5 powerful mantras that are believed to grant success in life.

OM

The simple but powerful chant of ‘OM’ can erase a lot of troubles and issues from a devotee’s life. OM is considered the most sacred syllable in Hinduism, and is seen as the essence of the ultimate reality. OM is also referred to as the sound of the universe, and is the starting of all creation, preservation, and destruction aspects of existence. Chanting OM can help calm the mind, bring mental clarity, and connect you with a higher state of consciousness.
When people chant OM, they set a powerful universal energy on path which helps clear mental clutter, making it easier to focus on your goals and eventually succeed and achieve everything you wish in life.

Gayatri mantra

Mantra – Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat
The Gayatri Mantra is one of the most powerful mantras in Hinduism. It is a prayer for wisdom and enlightenment and it is believed that starting and ending the day with a chant of the Gayatri mantra can help enlighten the body and mind, remove all negativity and redundant energies from around the devotee, and also help in increasing one’s ability to attract good, positive vibrations. The Gayatri mantra invokes a divine energy, which can guide you in making better decisions and overcoming obstacles.

Hanuman Chalisa

The Hanuman Chalisa, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, is one of the most famous ways to invoke the blessings of Lord Hanuman. Hanuman ji is known for his strength, courage, and devotion, and being his devotee means that you are forever under his guidance and protective eyes. The Hanuman Chalisa has forty verses that elaborate about his virtues and heroic deeds. Chanting the Hanuman Chalisa can instil a sense of courage and determination in his devotee and then the blessings of Lord Hanuman will remove any kinds of fears and obstacles, giving the strength to face challenges head-on and achieve success even in the worst situations.

Ganesh mantra

A Ganesh mantra that is also believed to help in achieving success is this Ganesh mantra. The mantra goes - ‘Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha, Nirvighnam Kurume Deva, Sarva Karyeshu Sarvada’. The mantra is a simple ask to Lord Ganesha to help remove all obstacles from his devotee’s life which can help them achieve their goals and succeed in life. It is believed that chanting this mantra before starting any new work, business, or venture will make sure that you invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings and then he will help you have a smooth and successful journey.

Maa Durga mantra

Another mantra that is believed to help you achieve success is one dedicated to Maa Durga. The mantra says - ‘Sarwa Mangal Mangalye, Shive Sarvaarth Saadhike, Sharanye Tryambake Gauri, Narayani Namostute’. When understood simply, this mantra wants to convey to Maa Durga that she is the giver of blessings and auspiciousness and helps her devotees immensely. And so, it is believed that chanting this mantra can invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga, providing her devotees the strength and protection needed to overcome challenges and achieve their goals in life.
