What pushed me to quit my 9-5 job

Here's what motivated me to leave my job

At one point, your safe and secure 9-5 job may not sound as promising as it used to. There might be many reasons that will push you to leave your 9-5 job, one of them being highly monotonous. With the emergence of new technologies and industries, people have become eager to experiment with new aspects of their careers. I too had a perfect 9-5 job which I loved at one point, but slowly it began suffocating me so much that I had to leave it. Here are some things that pushed me to quit my 9-5 job.

2/7

The stress is too much

The stress of a 9-5 job is too much to handle at times. You are not only left with a never-ending cycle of stress and anxiety but your body also begins to take a toll. Your body and mind are mostly left exhausted from the work of a 9-5 job.

3/7

Monotonous work

A 9-5 job can get really boring, even so much to a point that you eventually start hating your job. Even if the money is good, you will not feel like continuing with your work because once your work becomes monotonous and the same, you don’t feel like being part of a workplace where you no longer experience growth.

4/7

It’s destroying your relationships

There is a high chance that 9-5 jobs can destroy your relationships indefinitely. You are left with no energy or time to spend with your family and friends. 9-5 jobs exhaust you in a way where it is very difficult to repair relationships if once broken.

5/7

You will never be super rich

While working in a 9-5 job, there are chances you will never be super rich. Those who have found immense wealth and have become super successful have either chased down their dreams of creating something on their own. Plus, I never really ended up saving much money!

6/7

Less job security

Job security in today’s world is reducing to a huge extent. There’s no surety that your job will be safe and secure due to common ongoing problems. Changing economy or downsizing are some of the reasons why there is no job security anymore!

7/7

Working at a young age

Working in a 9-5 job at a young age can stunt your growth in achieving more. You should work in a place where you can grow and grab as many opportunities as you can. If you are young, a 9-5 job means stability and your 20s, 30s and even your 40s are for experimenting and going after what you want to do!
