1/7

Do not do these things

At the end of every month, if you are questioning yourself where your money went then it is high time to jot down where all you spent it. Make a diary where you note down your daily expenses even if it is for a single candy. Besides this, make sure you do not have these 6 habits which are making you poor.

2/7

Impulse purchases

Due to easy access to payment methods like credit cards and UPI, most people who love shopping online make impulse purchases which we later realise are unnecessary. This habit is toxic for your bank account. You have to find a way to refrain from doing so. Best would be to uninstall all those shopping apps from your phone and spend more time reading books or opt for a fun activity.

3/7

Drive less, walk more

Instead of taking a rickshaw or the car to the shortest of distances, walk down. You are wasting so much money even if it is Rs 10 for a one way trip. Put that money in a piggy bank for a week and see how much you will save if you stop being lazy.

4/7

Not planning your grocery shopping

Quit buying your groceries as per daily needs. Go to the grocery store where you get everything in bulk at cheaper rates instead. You will end up saving a lot of money if you plan these things out.

5/7

Eating out

It is fine if you eat out once or twice a month or when you go out to meet people, but eating out or ordering in every other day is nothing but a waste of money, ruining your health. If you do want to eat something fancy then make it at home, watch those upmteen recipe videos available online. This way you will save a lot of money because eating outside is not cheap.

6/7

Not making use of sales

Every year there are different occasions when brands put up sales not just in stores but online as well. If you buy everything on impulse and not when they are on sale, you are wasting your money. Instead, make a list of everything you want and buy them when there is a sale going on.

7/7

Smoking

Smoking not only causes cancer it also empties your pocket slowly and steadily, Cigarettes are not cheap. On an average, a pack of 20 costs around Rs 300 or more. Multiply that amount into the number of times you buy your packs a week. Add them up and see how much money you are wasting.
