The Ambanis

One of the richest families not just in India but in Asia, the Ambanis are an inspiration to many. From the late Dhirubhai Ambani who founded the Reliance Industries empire to Mukesh Ambani and his children who are now taking it ahead to bigger heights, the Ambanis are known for their sharp business acumen. Here we list down some business lessons to learn from the Ambanis.

2/7

Dhirubhai Ambani

Born on December 28, 1932, Dhirubhai Ambani believed in dreaming big and working hard to bring those dreams to reality. "Think big, think fast, think ahead. Ideas are no one's monopoly," is one of his quotes, which reflects his ideology. He also believed that "If you work with determination and with perfection, success will follow.” These are some business tips one can borrow from Dhirubhai Ambani.

3/7

Mukesh Ambani

One of the lessons one can learn from Mukesh Ambani is to have a positive and growth mindset and to not limit your success. In an earlier interview with Business Today, the Managing Director of Reliance Industries-- Mukesh Ambani said that people shouldn't limit themselves with their success. Instead, one should be open to new ideas and be willing to take up challenges as opportunities. His positive and growth mindset is also reflected in the way Reliance Industries has expanded and grown over the years-- from petrochemicals to retail and digital services.

4/7

Nita Ambani

One of the richest persons in India, Mukesh Ambani's wife Nita Ambani is a businesswoman in her own rights. Nita Ambani is the Founder and Chairperson of Dhirubhai Ambani International School and Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, and she is also the Chairperson of Reliance Foundation. Apart from her business acumen and philanthropy, she is also known for her lavish parties-- and the two pre-wedding celebrations she planned for her son Anant Ambani and his to-be wife Radhika Merchant are proof of this! And so, one can learn to not just work hard but also live life to the fullest and create happy memories from Mrs Ambani.

5/7

Isha Ambani Piramal

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's daughter, Isha Ambani Piramal is an accomplished businesswoman and a fashionista. Under her leadership, Reliance Retail has not just grown but also brought major international brands to the country. Moreover, Isha herself has also grown from being a businesswoman to a fashionista and is an inspiration to many working women in the country. She is also a mother of two adorable kids- Krishna and Aadiya-- and she seems to be a hands-on mom. And so, one can learn to juggle work-life balance from Isha Ambani.

6/7

Akash Ambani

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's son Akash Ambani is not just a businessman but also a co-owner of the IPL team Mumbai Indians. Akash is passionate about cricket and it is reflected in the way he handles his IPL franchise. One can learn to not just be passionate and driven about their work but also their hobbies from him.

7/7

Anant Ambani

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani is the Director of Reliance Industries Ltd and he also recently started his foundation for animals named Vantara in Jamnagar, Gujarat. In an interview with India Today, Anant spoke about the business lessons he learned from his father, which always applies, and shared, "Work hard and never go back to your mistakes... instead, move on. And when you do something, do it for the people of the country. For example, think about how your business can positively impact the common man. If you focus on it, your business will thrive. And-- concentrate on a product, no need to be competitive." These are some lessons one can also imbibe in their own business or career to be successful in life.
