5 Reasons why you are being bullied at work

Why you are being bullied at work

Employees are often bullied by their co-workers, bosses, the management and even HR, depending on the organistaion they are working at. In fact, 50% of the time, we quit because of this negative behaviour or atmosphere created by the seniors in sync with the HR. Here are 5 reasons why this happens.

2/6

You are skilled at your job

Bullying comes out of a complex people have when the other is doing well. If you are getting attention in a good light from your boss, your subordinates will try to bully you because they are envious. Be it you being good with your job, getting the required numbers needed, finishing work on time, having good contacts… anything!

3/6

You are popular

At times, even if you are pretty, good with words and popular at work, loners and outcasts love “masala” so they try to bully you. They pick at your social status and even taunt you over your popularity. Just remember that it is pointless engaging with such people.

4/6

You are good person

If you are a good person, some meanies love to bully you. They feel that you are a softy and will not react so they go on and on. Just because you are a team player with a bully leading, they will try their best to make you the target.

5/6

You are vulnerable

Many people with a submissive personality are often vulnerable so they are easy targets. When someone knows that you can be bullied, why won’t they? Think from that twisted thought process.

6/6

They know your desperation for this job

There are people who have this sick mentality and there is no denying. If the seniors know that you are in desperate need for this job and will not complain out of fear of jeopardizing this job, they will bully you outrightly. Even if you have complained to the HR and no step is being taken, remember your self worth and leave in this situation! No one deserves such a workplace.
