A woman wants to quit her job 17 times a year!

Let’s be honest, we all think about quitting our job once in a while. Whether it’s office politics or a bad appraisal, the temptation to put down the resignation letter is too strong to ignore. However, according to a study, women fall prey to this temptation more often than men. In fact, the average woman thinks about quitting her job not once or twice but unbelievably 17 times a year!

The study

The Association of Accounting Technicians, one of UK’s leading qualification and membership bodies for vocational accountants, studied the life of working women and made some interesting observations.

The participants

Around 2,000 part-time and full-time working women in the UK participated in the study. The research took place in September this year and brought to light many astounding findings of the life and work of women.

​What they found

According to the study, an average woman not just thinks about resigning from her job 17 times a year but she even toys with the idea of switching careers at least 10 times a year.

Why most women want to quit their jobs

As per the study, most people encounter around five office romances in their lifetime. The researchers believed that office romance may be one of the leading reasons behind a woman’s thoughts about quitting her job.

​Average working hours of women

An average woman works 78,396 hours throughout her career. Which the researchers broke down into 1,668 hours a year and 32 working hours a week as the time spent by a woman doing office work.
