Study: Some women can orgasm 55 times in a month and that too without having sex with a man

According to a new study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, some women can orgasm up to 55 times in a month. Interestingly, these women did not have intercourse with a man. Yes, you read it right! These women had sex with their female partner, and here are a few more insights from the research.

The researchers categorised 3,000 women in two categories—the ones whose primary partner was a man, and the ones whose primary partner was a woman. Then, they asked them questions about how frequently they orgasmed, engaged in sexual activities and the types of sexual activity they preferred, for the time period of four weeks.

The research concluded that lesbians had sex for about ten times a month, and heterosexual couples had sex for around 15 times a month. But the frequency of sex had no relation with female orgasm. In fact, women with female partners were three times more likely to orgasm ‘always’ as compared to those who had intercourse with men.

As per the statistics mentioned in the research, a whopping 95 per cent of the heterosexual women confessed that their male partners ‘usually-always’ orgasm. On the other hand, only 73 per cent straight men predicted the same for their partners.

Here’s the probable reason why women with female partners are more likely to orgasm than the one with male partners. Intercourse between heterosexual couples usually focusses on penetrative sex that does not majorly help women to climax. Unfortunately, male orgasm is considered the finale of the sex session, and a woman’s big O is not always a priority after that.

As mentioned in the researcher’s note, women climax more frequently with female partners mainly because “both partners are promoting varied sexual behaviours.” In simpler words, sex between two females is more about clitoral stimulation, sex toys, oral sex and other moves.

So, ladies, don’t be deprived of your share of pleasure in bed. And now that you know, you can climax as many as 55 times in a month, it’s time to be self-centred (not selfish)!
