They'll love you for these treats!

With the burning heart pouring down on all of us, it can be quite difficult for our furry friends to endure such heat. And so, it’s only fair that they get to have good summer treats that keep their belly happy, healthy and cool! It is a great idea to give your pooches the right food during summer. Here listed are some foods, that can serve as yummy treats for your dog!

2/6

Cucumbers

These are the perfect treats for your dog, as they are not only cool, but also rich in vitamins and minerals. This also helps your pooch to lose a few kilos if they are overweight.

3/6

Mangoes

Give your dog a slice of mango and see your pet gobble it all up! This fruit is a very good treat for your dogs because it is rich in vitamins like A, B6, C, E, fibre etc. The taste of mangoes is also mouth-watering.

4/6

Watermelons

Every pet loves watermelons because of their cooling effect. This is also laden with a lot of healthy nutrients and is made of 90% water. Your dog should always be hydrated and hence, this is a healthy snack. However, do remember to remove all the seeds from the watermelon as they can be harmful to your dog.

5/6

Coconut water

Consider giving your dog coconut water sometimes because firstly, it can be really refreshing and secondly, it is extremely healthy. It is full of electrolytes, calcium, potassium and Vitamin C.

6/6

Yoghurt

This can cool down your pet and help them relish in the sweetness of yoghurt. This is great for your pet’s gastrointestinal system. It is also a natural probiotic and keeps the gut healthy and safe.

You can always give your pet such natural, healthy treats. But again, it’s always advisable to ask your vet once, before you give your dog anything to eat.
