These dogs bring luck

Dogs are bundles of joy, best for companionship, take away your stress and loneliness and are faithful until their end. Sometimes we feel that we do even deserve dogs for the pure heart that they have in this selfish world. But did you know that there are some breeds of dogs that bring home extra luck too? Scroll down to know about them.

2/6

Shih Tzu

These furry sweethearts are originally the descendants of the Senji who were ancient Chinese wolves. The name of the breed literally means Lion Dog. Shih Tzus are said to be extra lucky dogs for you and they are very tolerant, trustful and make loving friends. They are energetic and playful and you want to snuggle with them all the time.

3/6

Pugs

Pugs are the oldest symbols of luck amongst Chinese. Their existence dates back to 400 BC, becoming the oldest dog breeds. They are comical, adorable and very playful and always have some silly antics up their sleeves.

4/6

Chinese crested dog

Their name is Chinese crested but they are in fact African or Mexican hairless dogs. This breed comes in 2 variants - hairless and powder puffs. They are very small but they have a strong spirit. They love playing games, cuddling and are very active. They take a little long to accept you but once they love you, it will be for life. However, once you have brought this dog into your home, do not ever think about leaving them or staying away from them for too long because they suffer from separation anxiety.

5/6

Chow Chow

A chow chow dog is a famous Chinese breed considered to be very lucky. They are independent, very proud and sometimes have a cat like disposition. They are however not the cuddly kind so do not keep one if you love snuggles. They are very suspicious of strangers too but if they love you, they are loyal to the T.

6/6

Xiasi dog

This dog breed is named so because it hails from the village of Xiasi prefecture of Kaili, Guizhou Province in China. This breed is respected by people because of the belief that they bring wealth to the homes they are in. They have a distinct white wiry coat, with a lean muscular body and a large face. They are agile and have an impressive sense of smell. The respect they have today was fostered in 1080 because they would hunt and provide animals for traders at the time.
