Radha, a cowherd girl, and Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, had a divine and intense love that transcended societal norms and barriers. The couple today has millions of devotees across the globe.

This iconic love story is associated with the construction of the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor, built the mausoleum as a symbol of his eternal love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who passed away while giving birth to their 14th child.

As per popular belief, Salim, the son of Mughal emperor Akbar, fell in love with Anarkali, a beautiful courtesan. However, their story ended tragically when the Mughal emperor Akbar attacked Mandu, leading to their separation.

Mirza-Sahiba is a popular love story from Punjab, particularly among the Jat community. It revolves around the forbidden love between Mirza, a Muslim and Sahiba, a Jat princess.
