Check out these signs

Some people just can't forget their past. They dwell over past experiences so much that they fail to enjoy the present and be around people who really care about them. Those who only think about the past are too focused over what they have been through and make their past a major aspect that mostly negatively affects their present and future.

2/6

Constant nostalgia

If you constantly talk or think about your past experiences then this is a sureshot sign you are romanticising your past. This can be a sign of longing for those people you had previously been in touch with. You may even think of an idealised version of your past.

3/6

Seeing only the positive side of past

You may try to remember only the positive aspects of your past which in a way is good, but is not always ideal. Avoiding remembering the negative aspects in the past can be a sign of denial. You may struggle to accept the difficulties you have faced in the past. Hence, you may try to look at the world with rose-coloured glasses only so that you can avoid thinking about all the hardships you have faced earlier.

4/6

Inability to let go of the past

Sometimes, you may find yourself struggling to move on from your past. You may believe that your past experiences were the best time in your life. This can be detrimental if it prevents you from growing, changing or accepting the present reality.

5/6

Idealising relationships

Often, a sign of romanticising the past is being fixated on a past relationship or romanticising past relationships. Seeing ex-partners or past relationships as superior to current ones or romanticizing a past romance can lead to unrealistic expectations. You may further feel disappointed that your present is not turning out how you hoped it to be.

6/6

Disinterest in the present

If you are idealising your past, you might lose all interest in the present. This can mean you might feel disconnected from the world. You may struggle to cope with changes and uncertainty. You may lose all hope over your present and future.

I enjoy the beautiful moments of my past especially the ones spend with my females colleagues who brought happiness to my life. Although not in touch with them, but still continue to bless them till date. चाहे कहीं भी तुम रहो, तुम को ना भुला पाएँगे.
