Is he doing these things?

No one can do us and our parents apart but if there is a virtual umbilical cord still connected between the mother and son, dear reader, you are in the midst of a mama’s boy syndrome case. Although certain behaviour lets us know the truth, many let these signs go. So, to let you know exactly what you have to see for, here are 7 signs the man you are dealing with, or you yourself, are experiencing mama's boy syndrome!

2/7

He still relies on his mom

Relying on your parents for certain things in life is fine. Still, if the man relies on everything from his parents, especially the mother, which includes shopping for underclothes, groceries etc, it is a red flag that he is a mama’s boy. In addition, if he is out shopping for you and he has to shop for something or the other for his mother, you know!

3/7

Confides in mom… EVERYTHING!

Sometimes confiding in your mom is okay because she has indeed experienced a bigger slice of life but sharing every little detail of his professional and personal life is a red flag. This can result in an interfering and nagging mother-in-law, so beware.

4/7

His mom doesn’t knock

His mom has no etiquette of knocking and she in fact simply barges into his room, and cleans up the bed and his wardrobe with him not realising this is a sign that he is a mama’s boy. From arranging his things to setting his wardrobe, mommy does everything.

5/7

The constant calls

His calling her all the time or her calling him all the time for timely updates including what is for dinner, who he is meeting etc, is something you must run away from unless you are okay with the Mama’s boy syndrome.

6/7

The cooking comparison

No matter how good you or your friends are at cooking, if the food is always being compared to that of his mother’s excellent cooking skills, you know you are dealing with a mama’s boy.

7/7

Mom’s permission

Seeking permission or approval from his mom for all his decisions in his life including the financial investments, love life and even clothes means that mommy dearest controls all the strings she has and that is not just the guiding soul but the deciding factor of his life.

Cribbing in front of mommy

When a grown man cribs and complains in front of his mom, whines for everything and expects her to calm him down, think again before going ahead with him in any kind of relationship!
