Ideas to simplify your life before 2023

Try these things

Life may not be simple as such but you can always try to do things to make it simpler. Get rid of the unnecessary things that take up your time, space and money. There are many ways to go about it but here are 6 ideas that will simplify your life before 2023 begins.

2/7

Get rid of pseudo ‘friends’

We all have such friends who clutter up our social media and we don't really know them personally. We may like each other’s pictures but we do not really care. This is the time, go ahead and delete them! Keep the people you know should be there but those whom you don't think you will be in touch with or care for, remove them. Make room for the real ones.

3/7

Sort the paper clutter

This one has a lot to do with Feng Shui too but logically, why do you need so many receipts and old paperwork which has no relevance today? Get rid of or unsubscribe the junk mail. Not just the paper in fact, even your email should be clean. If possible, choose to receive your bills electronically.

4/7

Simplify your diet

Don’t waste food for starters. Make the amount your family literally consumes instead of leaving something extra. Cook what your family likes to eat instead of making something they forcefully gulp down or waste. Also, try to keep high protein snacks in the house so that anyone hungry between meals ends up having something healthy instead of chips and cola.

5/7

Work on self care

No we are not talking about buying expensive things as a part of the “self care program”, we mean be practical but think about yourself too. You do not have to invest in expensive skin care or holidays to pamper yourself. You can also pour warm water, come essential oil drops with epsom salt in the tub and immerse your feet. You can also read your favourite book. Colour, exercise or make music.

6/7

Simple wardrobe

Buy only what you will wear because most of us wear only ¼th of what we possess. Get rid of the clothes that you have not worn in the past 3-4 years and the ones that do not fit you anymore. Buy clothes that you know you will wear on more than one occasion.

7/7

Sort the mental clutter

When you relive the past, worry about what your future may hold for you and overthink the present, you give yourself unnecessary stress. You encourage anxiety and bad thoughts and this clutters your mind.
