Here is why you think it’s ‘Love at first sight’ but it’s NOT

Why you think it’s ‘Love at first sight’ vs Why it's not?

‘Love at first sight’ is a concept or an idea that we often claim to have experienced at least once in our lifetime. Well, whether it’s true or not, one must be sure before taking any future decisions solely based on it. Many people, just because they think it was love at first sight, tend to plan their entire romantic journey on the foundation of what they believe it is. Therefore, it becomes necessary to differentiate it from what could possibly be an attraction or an infatuation.

2/6

What is ‘love at first sight’ and is it real?

Love at first sight is the romantic phenomena, where one person claims to have an instant, strong, intense and extreme bonding to someone they just saw or met. It is an idea many have claimed to have experienced and cannot be denied in all cases. However, if it is real or not purely depends on why you think it is love at first sight. That being said, here are some of the reasons why you may think it’s ‘love at first sight’ but unfortunately it is not.

3/6

Attraction and/or infatuation

Love is tricky but love at first sight can be trickier. Surely, you could fall for someone when you meet them for the first time, but defining it as love must be backed with solid facts. If it’s purely on the basis of attraction which later turns out to be an infatuation, may be it gradually blooms into love, but it wasn’t love at first sight to begin with.

4/6

Your subconscious mind has a certain type

Many times, we think we have found the one. It just takes one meeting and we’re sure of it. But what we overlook is the fact that our subconscious mind plays us into believing that we love the person we just met. This is because deep down, we already have a type. An image of someone in our past who has left a positive mark on us or someone we look up too. He/she defines the choice of partner we make and therefore, if the person you just met matches that persona, you might be tricked into believing it was love at first sight.

5/6

Your deepest desires can trigger it too

There could be a lot of things that your heart and mind desires. Although you might not express it, it is always prevalent somewhere within your soul. That being said, when you meet someone for the first time and you feel you love that person, it’s basically because your deepest desires yearn for qualities that individual possesses. Self-analyse yourself before making conclusions.

6/6

A vibe of compatibility

One may not believe so, but there is always a vibe of compatibility that gets to us when we meet a person for the first time. May be it’s the way they approach you, or the way they offer you something or maybe you observe them doing something that matches your behavior towards life and other things. All of these things can trick you into believing that you two are perfect for each other. However, before reaching that conclusion, you must make sure of it.
