Halloween 2020: Romantic date night ideas for you and your special one

Most people won't think of Halloween as a romantic date night. In other countries, people usually think about running to the store to buy tons of candies to be gobbled by neighbourhood kids running around yelling "trick or treat". And the exciting fever of this celebration has seeped in the Indian households too. But since Halloween is still not that big, we can add it as a day to plan romantic date nights, can't we? After all, you just need a reason to spend quality time with your lover and this one is a fantastic day to bring in some newness and bid farewell to any negativity.

2/6

Have a scary-movie marathon

For this one time, you can stretch out of your comfort zone and try something different. Search online for the kind of scary movies that you can watch for a Halloween date night with your partner. If super scary movies aren't your thing, you can try a scary animated film too or those with some humour in it. Besides, it's fun to cuddle up in blankets with all the lights off and watching a scary movie with the person you love.

3/6

Pumpkin carving competition

Although it's not something that you get to see too much in our country, there's always an option available to dive into it. Buy a couple of pumpkins and compete with your partner in a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Keep your design a secret and don't cheat! Give yourself a set time to finish up the carving and then share your masterpiece. The winner gets a foot massage or whatever choice of prize you'd want to keep.

4/6

Picnic at night with flashlights and lanterns

You can organize a picnic at a local park or in the balcony of your apartment. Enjoy some music, light some lanterns and have great conversations. You can even get creative and build a fort in the house. Bring the picnic inside the fort with flashlights. You'll enjoy where the play takes you.

5/6

Share spooky ghost stories from your childhood

Nothing better than sharing all the things you thought of as a child and telling each other spooky ghost stories from your childhood. Let your imaginations run wild. You'll be surprised how much fun you can have when you play together in such a creative way.

6/6

Cook a Halloween-themed meal together

If you both love spending time in the kitchen together, you can actually prepare a delicious Halloween-themed meal together. Cooking is a fun and romantic date idea. But Halloween gives you just another reason to try something new together.
