Can you relate to these confessions?

We all have some secrets or memories connected to house parties. There may be several stories untold, many confessions brushed under the carpet. Here, we have some brave women and men who opened up to us anonymously about that moment when they fell in love with someone at a house party (with or without alcohol).

His moves rocked my world

“I met my now boyfriend of 7 years at a common friend’s house party and I am so glad I did. He was dancing on “tip tip barsa pani”, and we laughed so hard. But what impressed me was that he was so confident and had no issues mocking Raveena Tandon or sporting a saree on his jeans and shirt. He turned out to be a humorous person and may not have the looks but his charm will win you over. We have been together for 7 years and are super happy together.”

I had to control myself

“I was at a colleague’s house party when I saw this beautiful woman, making drinks for us all. I was at the time a closeted lesbian and I had to control myself so much. I found her so attractive that there were moments when I just wanted to kiss her glossy lips. I literally cried myself to sleep that night. Today I am with my love, openly gay. But that was a crazy night I never told anyone about.”

Disguised satan

“It was a house party and I was 3 glasses down. I saw my ex-wife in white and I was stunned! She took my breath away and I know at that moment that she is my future wife. We dated for a month and got married soon. The mistake was that she was not even close to that angel that I saw. She was a satan in disguise! It was a very emotionally damaging marriage. She had a very dirty mouth. She abused me and my parents a lot. I somehow managed to get a divorce and I am so happy. I broke out of that jail. For me, a house party holds a different meaning.
