Biggest marital problems couples are facing today

Most couples are facing these issues

Every marriage has issues but sometimes those problems become irreconcilable. There are many factors that lead to separation and divorces. Here are some of the major marital problems that make spouses grow apart from each other, which you can work on if you are experiencing them too.

2/6

Boredom

A routine, mundane life gets to us all after a certain time period. So the same thing happening in a relationship is nothing surprising. When you sit next to each other with your eyes on your phone or the laptop all the time, the intimacy goes out of the window. So the best way to work on it is by going for walks together sans devices like phones, going on dates, doing activities together. Work out together, do something where you both pay equal attention in a joint sense.

3/6

Emotionally unavailable

Many couples slowly become emotionally unavailable to each other. That distance tends to fill the space between them which could have been taken care of before had the communication been as strong as it was earlier. The everyday work stress and other factors can often end up negatively affecting couples and one feels that the other is not there for the other.

4/6

Sexual problems

After some time, couples often have this issue where one is not in the mood at all, or does not have the time. Many couples stop experimenting and trying different things too in bed and this makes it monotonous and too predictable as well. The spicy life disappears into thin air over time and patterns, routines, make the couple drift apart.

5/6

Constant nagging

Couples often start nagging each other or one of the partners seems to have mastered the art. This happens due to stress and even the lucid, irresponsible behaviour of the other. Sometimes one partner even takes the other way for granted and this further ruins the situation. Constant complaining and so much agitation can easily be avoided if you listen to each other, ask how the day went, how was work, what is bothering them, etc.

6/6

Addictions

Our work culture today has ruined many aspects of our lives. We slowly become dependent on things like caffeine, alcohol and any other such addictions which start controlling your mood. When the addict is questioned, they tend to become defensive and the arguments become never ending. It can also worsen your taking responsibility factor.

Talk to each other if you are facing these issues. Go to a therapist or a marriage counsellor if you can and then consider separation or whatever step you plan on taking. Try to work it out first.
