7 things that shouldn't happen if your relationship is solid

Maintaining a healthy relationship takes a lot of work. You need to stay there for each other, be loyal and lovable towards your partner and so much more. You need to know your partner in and out for your relationship with them to be absolutely solid. If you are eager to know how things are going between you and your partner, then here are seven things that shouldn't happen if your relationship is solid.

2/8

Criticizing each other for their looks

Body shaming comments aren't acceptable if you have a solid relationship with your partner. You shouldn't make comments on the way they look or dress up. A relationship is about appreciating each other for the way they are.

3/8

Lack of forgiveness after a fight

Fighting is completely normal when you are in a relationship. It is an emotion just like any other. Even the strongest of couples fight but what matters is how they resolve it. If you aren't able to forgive each other truly after a fight then the relationship wouldn't work well in the long run.

4/8

Flirting with others

Being in a relationship means you shouldn't flirt with others. Being pleasant with other people is alright but if you or your partner is flirting with someone else, it indicates that your relationship is going through a rough patch.

5/8

Always being with each other

A healthy relationship is one where both of you have ample independence and have a life of your own. Healthy couples don't spend all of their time together. They know they have a life of their own and so they make time for themselves too.

6/8

Not sharing your feelings well

Having a beautiful and healthy relationship means you are comfortable with each other. This means you will be easily able to vent out your emotions in front of them. If you aren't able to share your feelings with your partner then there is something not right in the relationship.

7/8

Cheating

Being cheated on by your loved one is really hurtful. It is absolutely not right in a relationship. With modern dating and casual relationships becoming the norm, you should definitely talk to your partner about how you feel about your relationship and your expectations from each other.

8/8

Hanging out with the exes

Having your exes around is just not right. You should be able to understand that your ex wasn't the right person for you and so keeping them around even as a friend doesn't make sense at all. Consider your partner's feelings before you decide to stay friends with your ex.
