9 types of texters

We all deal with different kinds of texters every day. Believe it or not, people can actually be categorised on their texting habits. For instance, there’s a breed who most often than not reply just with a ‘k’, the ones who text ‘okies-dokies’, those who take hours to reply and the list goes on. Wondering which category your kin and kith fall in? Read on to know more…

2/10

The lazy ones

These kinds of texters are too lazy to move their fingers and reply using the least amount of alphabets possible. You might send them a long message describing your day or a crucial situation, and they will text you back with a single alphabet reply—‘K’! Isn’t that torturous?

3/10

The abbreviation lovers

‘Wat doin’, ‘C u 2mrw’, ‘U luk gud’…such people might save a few seconds of their day while texting but end up irking the receivers to the core. Message for such texters: You know how to write English, right? Then, please write it!

4/10

The emoji kings

Such people have set the rules of the game themselves. Their every text has to be accompanied with an emoticon, or a series of them. And there’s another sub category of those who reply only with emojis. Technology has not reached the stage where emojis can say it all, guys! P.S.- iPhone 10 excluded.

5/10

The drunk ones

These messages are bombarded with emotions, feelings, grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and the best part, the sender will have no idea what they texted the next morning.

6/10

The LOL, OMG, ROFL addicts…

…idk, ttyl, brb, gn, et al. Guys, please think about the sanity of the receiver!

7/10

The late repliers

These are the ones who reply to your message at their own pace, that could stretch from a few days to even a week! It’s always better to call them even for the minutest issues.

8/10

The occasional texters

They are the ones who only drop a message on festivals, birthdays and special occasions.

9/10

The ‘hmmm’ lovers

Whether you have given them a life-changing advice, told them something surprising or have delivered a shocking news—‘hmmm’ is their standard reply. Why guys, why? A few more lines won’t hurt anyone, right?

10/10

The non-stop texters

We all have that one friend who is literally online round the clock and loves to send memes/texts/gifs and whatever technology permits. They reply within seconds, and for them a good conversation can last for days.

(Images: Shutterstock)
