Baby names that are banned in the US

Life in the U.S. is generally considered among the best in the world. People enjoy a significant amount of personal freedom, including when it comes to naming their children. In most cases, you can choose almost any name you like, and no one will question it. However, there are some names that are restricted from the US. Take a look:-

2/8

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the name of a central figure in Christianity and is deeply revered throughout much of the world. Due to its strong religious relevancy, it's not suggested to name a child Jesus Christ because this may cause offense or even be seen as disrespecting the faith in some way.

3/8

Majesty

The name Majesty carries strong titular and authoritative associations, similar to royal or official ranks. Because it suggests elevated status rather than a personal given name, many American states restrict or reject its use during birth registration. Authorities aim to prevent confusion, ensure names fit legal standards, and avoid titles being used as first names.

4/8

Queen

Like King, the name Queen can also connote a position of authority, or even an official title. Such names are usually not accepted because they may cause confusion or give the impression of a title being carried. You should always opt for naming your child a personal and meaningful name rather than using a title like Queen.

5/8

King

Names containing a royal or official title are barred, for instance, in a number of U.S. states. One name that has been denied is the first name “King” because it connotes a title of rank or status rather than a personal name. States such as New Jersey and Texas have specific regulations prohibiting names that suggest titles, positions, or official status of any kind

6/8

Santa Claus

Names that imply a unique or iconic identity such as Santa Claus, a well-known legendary figure can create confusion in legal records and may also expose a child to lifelong ridicule. Because of these concerns, states like Florida, California, New Jersey, and others have banned the use of this name for official registration.

7/8

III

Naming your child III would likely create lifelong confusion. Since it is a Roman numeral rather than an actual name, using numerics alone is not legally allowed. Numbers do not constitute a valid personal name, which is why such entries are rejected during official registration.

8/8

Adolf Hitler

This one is not difficult to understand. Given Adolf Hitler’s role in the atrocities of the Holocaust, his name is banned in the United States to prevent the spread of hate and to avoid any association with such a dark chapter in history.

Total AI slop article. Completely wrong. Some of these are banned in France and Sweden. Not in the US. Look at Elon Musk's kid's name and Michael Jackson's and Kim Kardashian's.
