7 things only desi parents tell their kids

There is something about Indian parents which sets them apart from all other parents in the world. Strict, lenient, conservative, open-minded, no matter how our parents are, we just love them from the core of our hearts.

Here are a few things every desi parent tells his children, no matter from which part of the country you are:

2/8

Bringing back the lunch box

The universal love of our moms for their beloved Tupperware boxes won’t ever end. Whenever we carried our lunches in that box, the one and only concern of our mom was to ensure that we bring that back. God forbid we lost them, a good beating came our way.

3/8

Struggle now, enjoy later

‘’Beta sirf 12th tak ache se padh le fir agey ki life set hai’’

‘’Beta college mei ache se padh le fir agey sab theek jayega”

‘’Beta job ache se karega to agey ki life ban jayegi”

And it goes on....

4/8

Look at the neighbour’s kid

Don’t know how there is ‘sharma ji ka ladka’ in every colony who always scored more marks than us. Then came the comparison and a good one-hour lecture on how we should be more like him.

5/8

We were once your age too

Whenever we failed to do something, a fixed dialog came our way- “Hum bhi kabhi tumhari umar ke they and us time pe sab kar lete they”. Well, Indian parents firmly believe that there is nothing that their kid can’t do. Afterall, they themselves did the same when they were of that age.

6/8

Stuffing us with food

Be it coming back from hostels or any other usual day, our moms took upon themselves to fill us with food up to the brim. Their favorite excuse used to be ‘kitna patla ho gaya hai, ek roti aur kha le’.

7/8

Human alarm clock

Switching off the fan and pulling the quilt off us are a few tactics Indian moms use to wake their kids up. Just tell your mother that you need to wake up at 7 am and she will wake you up at 6 am, telling you that it is 8 am already. Well, Indian moms will be Indian moms.

8/8

‘Ghar ki Value’

Our mom’s favorite dialog whenever an argument happened used to be ‘Jab ghar se chala jayega tab ghar ki value pata chalegi”. Well, we all must agree that we truly came to know ‘ghar ki value’ only after leaving our homes

Very True It is necessary ,that's what make us indian different from rest of the world. We care our elders unlike the foreigners who let them alone to die in the hour of crisis like one now of CORONA
