Common fear most mothers have when expecting for the second time

Raising a kid comes with its own set of responsibilities and worries. It is a private matter and a difficult choice for any couple. Whether they are embracing parenthood for the first time or the second, it is never an easy journey. But for the second time, the choices are much more difficult and it comes with a new set of worries that nobody had even considered during the first time. You certainly have an experience of raising a child, but be assured that second time the journey will not be similar. Here are some dilemmas new mothers face when planning a baby for the second time.

2/5

Will I love my second child as much as the first one

There is something special about the firstborn that is hard to define in words. Becoming parents for the first time brings immense joy and pleasure to any couple. So, when expecting the child for the second time, most new mothers fear if they would be able to love and care for the newborn as they did for the firstborn. The truth is that our hearts always make space for the people we love. So, one need not worry about this.

Handling two babies can be difficult

Adding another member to the family means additional responsibilities. On top of that, when you have two kids at home, it becomes difficult to handle them. For the firstborn, you will have to manage their studies and school and then with the second one you will have to deal with sleepless nights. Along with this, if you are a working mother things can get even more complex. It is not possible not to think about these challenges.

4/5

The bond between the first and the second born

With the arrival of the new baby at home, the attention of the family members shifts a bit from the elder child. The firstborn, who up till now was getting all the love and attention, now has to share it with others. Many time leads to sibling rivalry. The elder child finds it difficult to form a bond with the younger one, which is one of the common concerns of expecting mothers.

5/5

Financial support

Though it is not the most talked-about topic, money matters. Right from pregnancy till education and beyond, there are endless things one needs to consider before bringing another child to the world. It would be incorrect to say that couples do not worry about money before planning another baby. Even if they plan things, the finances are always a matter of concern.
