7 exercises that can help you tone your flabby arms

Dealing with flabby arms can be frustrating. It affects not only your self-image but also makes you conscious of what you wear and how it looks. This could lead to a beautiful dress or shirt remaining hidden in your closet, waiting for that day when you can wear it with a smile on your face and confidence in your body. However, you can tighten up that saggy skin with some muscle-building exercises that hone up your arms in particular. These are 7 exercises that can help you tone your flabby arms.

2/8

Arm circles

One of the most popular and basic exercises for flabby arms is arm circles. You need to stand straight, stretch your arms at shoulder height and make circles in the air moving forward for 30 seconds and backward for 30 seconds. This will tone the muscles of the entire arm and when done regularly is sure to show results.

3/8

Arm slides

This exercise focuses on your triceps, shoulders and core. All you need are sliders or two small towels and then you place your knees and toes on the ground, your hands on these sliders and begin pushing them forward and backwards in a constant routine. When sliding forward make sure your chest touches the ground and keep your elbows straight the entire time. It's essentially a better version of mopping the floor and that works too!

4/8

Ball slams

Ball slams are another fun exercise you can do without much fatigue, even at home. All you need is a medicine ball or slam ball that you will pick up from the floor and then throw back on it with optimal force. It will fatigue your arms and when you include a squatting exercise to pick up the ball, it will involve full-body movement.

5/8

Bicep curls

Recently, equipments have made it much easier to perform any exercise at home. From walking to pressing, everything can be done within the confines of your abode. One such equipment is the resistance band which can come in very handy if you are looking to get rid of flabby arms. Stand in the middle of the band and use the sides to pull it up with your palms faced upwards and elbows tight against the ribs. This will create a lot of pressure on your biceps and help tone them.

6/8

Triceps dips

Flabbiness can be typically seen on the backs of the arms and focusing on toning this part is important. Bring in the most sturdy chair in your house for this one. Sit on the edge of the chair, place your hands next to your hips and slide off the chair. Lower the body by bending the elbows and then push back up. Begin with a small number of dips and gradually increase it.

7/8

Narrow push ups

While regular push ups focus on the chest and the abdomen, narrow push ups are aimed at your hands more. Begin with a plank position with your hands under your shoulders and palms facing forward. Lower down with your elbows while keeping the shoulders, hips, and knees in a straight line.

8/8

Dumbbell bench press

Including a dumbbell bench press into your exercise routine makes the muscles active and reduces imbalances or weakness in them. All you need are two dumbbells and a bench. Keep your hands straight moving upwards and bend your elbows when moving down.
