World Rum Day: Interesting facts about Rum that no one told you

This one is for all the rum lovers. World Rum Day is celebrated on the 2nd Saturday of July each year, and it was launched in 2019 by Paul Jackson, spirits writer and Editor of World Rum Guide. It's an annual and global celebration of rum and distilleries, where the world comes together and celebrates the oldest spirit of the world. Yes, you read the header right. Rum is the first branded spirit to come into existence. The first-ever rum was distilled in the 1620s at the Carribean, which holds its position as the largest rum distillery till date.
