Losing weight is difficult

The desire to stay in shape makes you try every possible thing! Right from going for those quick-promising diets to high intensity workouts to bizarre hacks, the love for staying in shape can make move mountains.

2/8

Our trials and errors

Most of us try several diets and eliminate so many things from our diet. Unfortunately, despite all the sweet sacrifices when losing those extra bulk becomes difficult that’s when you need to plan your weight loss regime a bit tactfully as this further helps in losing weight in a sustainable way! Hence, we thought of sharing a few quick tips to lose weight effectively without going for a rigid plan. Here are a few tips that will help you lose weight in an effective way, when coupled with a few simple exercises.

3/8

Reduce the intake of oil

Well, this should be the first thing when you chalk out your weight loss plan. Going for healthy substitutes of oil can be a great idea. A teaspoon of oil or ghee has about 135 calories, which is still manageable as to reduce weight in a sustainable way you need to maintain a healthy balance of approx 1200 calories a day. You can replace your regular oil based dressing for your salads with fruit juices or chicken or veggie broth.

4/8

Go for brown rice

No matter how much we love the taste of white rice, it isn’t a great idea to include it in your diet in case you are planning to lose weight. Rather going for brown rice can be a nice idea as it has around 133 calories in half a cup, whereas white rice has around 266 calories. Brown rice makes you feel full due to the presence of bran. What’s more, it has a low-glycemic index as compared to white rice.

5/8

Portion control

Another important thing to keep in mind, while planning your weight loss regime should be portion control. You might have observed, when you restrict yourself from foods you love, you often tend to gobble them up too much on your cheat days, which eventually spoils all your hard work. Hence, it is always advised to keep a check on your portion to curb those unwanted calories.

6/8

A wholesome breakfast

Skipping breakfast to stay in shape is a bad idea as it leads to bloating and discomfort. To follow a healthy breakfast regime it is better to go for a breakfast full of nutrition. Oatmeals can make for a delightful as well as nutritious breakfast. In fact, they keep you full for a longer period of time and curbs cravings.

7/8

Plan your meals

Divide your meals mindfully to go for sustainable weight loss rather than eating twice or thrice a day and gobble up everything possible! Yes, this is what leads to obesity. Hence, it is a good idea to divide your meals to at least six meals a day with a controlled portion.

8/8

Snack it right!

Who says you need to leave your favourite snacks to lose weight. Well, rather than frying them bake or air fry them. You can also go for healthy snacking like trail mixes, peanuts, roasted delights. There’s a plethora of options you can go for! And if you don’t want to go for any processed snack then it’s best to go for fresh fruits as they are the best to manage weight effectively.
