Red Velvet Cake in a Pressure Cooker

Ingredients
1½ cups maida, 1 cup powdered sugar, ½ cup oil or melted butter, 1 cup milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1–2 tsp red food colour
For frosting
½ cup cream cheese, ¼ cup butter, 1 cup icing sugar, and a few drops of vanilla essence
Step 1
First of all, remove the gasket of the cooker and whistle from the lid. Add 1 -- 1.5 cups salt to the base of the cooker, and place a stand inside and preheat on low flame for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Sift the flour in a deep bowl, along with cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
Step 3
In another bowl, mix sugar and oil and once they are combined well, add milk and vanilla essence. Also, add red colour and mix well.
Step 4
Now, gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet and also add vinegar at the end.
Step 5
Grease and line a cake tin and pour the batter into it.
Step 6
Place the tin on the stand carefully, close the lid without a whistle and bake on low flame for 35–45 minutes.
Step 7
In the meantime, for frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, icing sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Step 8
Once the cake is ready, spread evenly and decorate as desired. Enjoy with your valentine.
