When it comes to cookies, they are often associated with a blend of flour, butter, sugar, and sometimes spices. But did you know the world of cookies is way beyond. As per legends, the history of cookies dates back to the 7th century in Persia and during those days, cookies were actually simple test cakes, where a small portion of cake mixture was baked to check oven temperature. And as per historians, the word cookie comes from the Dutch “koekje,” meaning “little cake,”. Recently, Taste Atlas released a list of Top 100 Cookies in the world. Here are the top 10 that every cookie lover should try to understand the world of cookies.
