Fridge organising hacks

You clean and organize the fridge on weekends and it is again messy in just a couple of days? Worry no more, as these fridge organising tips will give you some super-smart solutions to your woes. These tips will not only help you in keeping the fridge clean but will also help in storing more items in an efficient manner by utilising all the space available. Read on to know some clever organising tips which you need to try right away.

2/7

Storage bags

Is your vegetable basket full of different veggies mixed together? De-clutter it by using some storage bags. You can easily get these storage bags in either plastic or mesh material at any retail store. Just divide the veggies as per need and store them in a neat manner in the basket. This will not only keep the vegetables fresh for long but will also save your time when you reach out to grab something from the basket.

3/7

Glass bowls

Store leftover food in steel utensils and then completely forget about it? Start storing the leftover food in glass bowls. This way the food will be visible and will instantly remind you to use the leftovers. Glass is also said to be a safer way to keep food fresh for a long as compared to other utensils.

4/7

Labels

Use stick-on labels and stick them on each shelf and compartment. Mention the type of food items that can be stored on the shelf. This will make it much easier for you and the other family members to store smartly. It will keep similar food items together on one shelf and will make your fridge look more spacious.

5/7

Divider or Drawers

If your fridge is always stocked up with a number of items and labelling the shelves won’t work for you, then here is a solution. You can opt for adjustable fridge trays/drawers and keep them on the shelves. Now you can label these trays and easily store different items on one shelf in an efficient manner. Similarly, you can also go for dividers which will keep food items away from one another by providing a horizontal barrier between them.

6/7

Can/bottle holder

If you have several bottles or cans in your fridge and your door compartments can’t contain all of them, then it is best to keep a holder on the shelf. Opt for a vertical holder that will easily arrange the cans or bottles towards the side of the shelf without occupying much space.

7/7

Fridge mats

Line up the shelves with washable mats in order to make the clean-up process easy. You can opt for plastic or silicone mats and spread them on the fridge shelves. This will prevent the shelves from getting dirty and you can easily take out the mat and clean it when it gets dirty.
