"I don’t do..., I don't touch...I will take one tablespoon..." Salman Khan talks about importance of cheat meals in his life
Salman Khan is one of Bollywood's finest actors, known for his screen presence, flawless acting, and chiseled body. Many young men idolise him for his fitness regime and are always keen to know what he eats to be so fit and in shape at the age of 60. In a recent interview with Variety India on their YouTube channel, the actor revealed that for him everyday is a cheat day. Scroll down to read the details.
In the interview, when he was asked about his first cheat meal after a major transformation, the 60-year-old actor, said, “Every day is a cheat day for me. I’d rather spend that extra 20 minutes in the gym or the extra one hour in the gym, but I’ll eat what I’ll eat. I don’t do steamed.” The actor continued, “The amount of protein that I need to eat, I just eat…no matter how tasty the food is…I will take one tablespoon of rice. I don’t touch rotis. That’s it. And then whatever protein I need, I try to finish it with that one tablespoon of rice.”
According to a report by Moneycontrol, Salman Khan had said, "I will eat anything but won't overeat. Like, say, one spoon of rice or at max one and a half, whatever vegetables, then chicken or mutton or fish." According to trainer Rakkesh R Uddiyar, Salman's eating habits are deeply rooted in family traditions. He prefers food cooked at home, especially by his mother, Salma Khan. He further revealed, "He only eats home food, cooked by his mother. No matter what food you bring in, he would say, 'Ghar ka khana do. Mummy ne jo banaya wahi khana lagao. Wahi khaunga."
According to Rakkesh, in the morning, Salman prefers porridge, eggs, and fruits. In the afternoon, he eats home-cooked food, either fish or chicken. The trainer further added that vegetables and salads are always an essential part of Salman's meals. He takes a small amount of rice and prefers more vegetables.
He also mentioned that Salman loves his biryanis without exceeding the calorie intake of 2000. When it comes to biryani, it is reported that he loves his chicken biryani the most and enjoys it with homemade instant onion pickle, which he loves making for his family.
In one of his interviews, he once shared his instant Onion Pickle recipe too, which is made with onion, salt, fennel seeds, red chili powder, kalonji, and mustard oil. According to the viral video, it is an instant pickle that Salman makes for his family and enjoys with biryani too.
