Raw Mango Dal Fry Recipe

Raw Mango Dal Fry is a simple, comforting and easy-to-make main course dish. Traditionally, made with toor dal and raw mangoes, this is a tangy delight that goes well with rice and roti and makes for a perfect summer dish, which also helps protect against heat stroke. Take a look at the simplest recipe.

Ingredients


1 cup toor dal, 2 raw mangoes, 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 2 cups water, 2 tbsp ghee, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 2 dried red chilies, and 1/4 tsp hing

Step 1


Wash the dal and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

Transfer it to a cooker along with salt, turmeric, sliced mangoes along with seeds and water.

Cook on medium-low flame and pressure cook for 3-5 whistles.

In the meantime, prepare the tempering with ghee, chilies, cumin and hing.

Add it on top of cooked dal, cook it on low flame without lid for desired consistency.

Serve with extra serving of ghee on top along with rice, pickle, and salad. Enjoy!
