Right way to make Ranveer Singh's favourite dish

Ranveer Singh is known for his impeccable screen presence and fit looks. The versatile actor is always vocal about his lifestyle choices and food preferences. In an AMA session on Instagram, he once revealed Sindhi Kadhi to be his all-time favourite dish. Take a look at the simplest recipe one can try at home.

Ingredients required


1/2 cup potato, 1/2 cup okra, 1/2 cup drumstick, 1/4 cup pumpkin, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, 4 tbsp gram flour, 2 green chili, 1 tsp ginger, 4-6 curry leaves, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp chilli powder, 2 tsp tamarind pulp, 2 tbsp oil, and salt to taste.

First of all, boil the potatoes and set them aside.

In a wok, heat oil, and add elongated-cut okra, drumstick, and pumpkin cubes. Sauté them for 3-5 minutes, drain and transfer to a kitchen towel.

Now, add some more oil, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and allow them to crackle. Add asafoetida and mix well.

Once done, add gram flour and sauté for 5-7 minutes on a low flame or till it turns golden brown in colour.

Add 3 cups of water and bring it to a boil.

Now, add green chilli, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tamarind puree, and cooked vegetables. Bring to a boil.

Simmer for 10-12 minutes and serve hot with rice.
