Iron and protein-rich Egg and Spinach Omelette

The winter mornings look even more delicious when packed with protein-rich omelette and have a touch of iron in the form of baby spinach leaves added to it. Also called nature's multivitamins, eggs are packed with essential amino acids and key nutrients like vitamin B12, vitamin D, selenium, and choline that support muscle growth and repair, help maintain hormonal balance, and keep you feeling full for longer. The study titled The Health Benefits of Egg Protein states that egg protein has been recognized to be highly digestible and an excellent source of essential amino acids, with the highest attainable protein digestibility-corrected amino acid score. And according to a study titled Effect of Spinach, a High Dietary Nitrate Source, on Arterial Stiffness and Related Hemodynamic Measures, a 7-day consumption of high-nitrate spinach reduces arterial stiffness and lowers central systolic blood pressure in healthy individuals, which supports its role in preventing cardiovascular disease. Spinach exhibits antioxidant effects by increasing antioxidant enzyme activities and protecting cellular components such as DNA from oxidative damage. Also known as “green powerhouse,” spinach is rich in iron, folate, calcium, and vitamins A, C, and K, which helps boost energy, improve immunity, and support healthy skin and bones. So, here is the simplest breakfast recipe that you can try at home.
