Steps to make Instant Sprout Chaat

Are you also bored of papdi and samosa chaat and looking for a healthier high-protein option? If yes, then shop the readily available sprouts and you are good to go to make a high-protein chaat, full of flavours. According to experts, sprouts are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and plant-based protein and the sprouting process increases essential amino acids and improves overall nutrient availability. They are also proven to contain dietary fiber and natural enzymes that help break down food and support gut health. Scroll down to read the recipe.

Ingredients


1 cup mixed sprouts (moong, moth or chana), 1 small onion, 1 small tomato, 1 green chilli, 2 tbsp cucumber, 2 tbsp boiled potato, 2 tbsp fresh coriander, 1–2 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, ½ tsp chaat masala, salt to taste, and sev or roasted peanuts for garnish

Step 1



First of all, steam the sprouts in 1.25 cups of water for 10 -15 minutes.

In the meantime, chop onion, tomato, cucumber, green chilli, and boiled potatoes.

Add them to a mixing bowl along with steamed sprouts.

Add salt, roasted cumin powder, and chaat masala. Give it a gentle toss.

Now, add lemon juice and adjust seasoning, if needed.

Garnish with coriander leaves, and sev or peanuts just before serving. Enjoy!
