How to make Chef Sanjeev Kapoor-Style Paneer Do Pyaza at home

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor-Style Paneer Do Pyaza is a simple and comforting main course dish. The beauty of this dish lies in the minimal spices and onion dices which pair well with roti, naan, and rice too. This is a super easy dish that can amp up any meal without much effort. Try this easy paneer recipe at home.

Ingredients



300 grams paneer, 1 medium onion, 1 1/2 cups onion paste, 3 tbsp ghee, 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds, 3-4 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 3-4 green cardamoms 3 green chillies, 1/2 tablespoon ginger paste, 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 1 cup fresh tomato puree, 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons paneer masala, 3/4 cup yogurt, salt to taste, 3/4 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, and fresh coriander leaves

Step 1


First of all, wash and cut paneer into cubes and chop veggies.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick and green cardamoms, and sauté till fragrant.

Add onion puree and green chillies, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Now, add ginger paste and garlic paste and tomato puree, mix well and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

Add spices and cook for 5 minutes. Add water and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Add yogurt, mix and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Also, add paneer and salt and simmer for 5 minutes.

Now, add onion dices and dried fenugreek leaves. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Garnish with onion rings, lemon wedge and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
