When it comes to morning juices, people often prefer orange or watermelon juice to begin the day with. But, have you ever thought of adding amla and turmeric juice to your morning routine? Well, they both are Ayurveda-approved food ingredients known for their medicinal properties. While they can be added to the daily diet differently, the best way to get maximum benefits from these two superfoods is by consuming them raw on an empty stomach. How to make Amla and Turmeric Juice


To make this refreshing and nourishing juice, take 1 deseeded amla and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder or 1-inch raw turmeric. Add them to a blender, along with a few drops of water. Blend them into a puree and strain the juice. Mix well, and then top it with a pinch of black pepper, 1/4 tsp honey, and a few drops of lemon juice. It is suggested to consume the juice in the morning on an empty stomach.

Boosts immunity

According to Ayurveda, amla is rich in vitamin C and turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Together, they can strengthen the immune system and help fight off seasonal infections, coughs, and colds. It is mentioned in the study that the curcumin compound found in turmeric promotes a balanced immune response by stimulating Th1 cells and increasing interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) production. And according to clinical trials, amla supplementation reduces oxidative stress and improves biomarkers related to immune health.

Improves digestion


They both are good for digestive health as well. Amla is said to help balance stomach acid, and turmeric stimulates bile production, together, they aid smoother digestion and reduce bloating. According to Ayurveda, amla is said to improve the Pachak Agni too. The World Journal of Gastroenterology states that curcumin found in turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help reduce inflammation in the gut and hence boost digestive health.

They both are said to act as a natural detox drink. The juice is said to help flush out toxins from the liver and blood. According to a 40-day study, the liver-protective effects of amla are credited to its high antioxidant content, including vitamin C, tannins, flavonoids, and polyphenols. And it is said that curcumin in turmeric exerts strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions that protect the liver from damage caused by oxidative stress, and toxins.
