Right way to make Aloo Tikki Chaat

Aloo Tikki Chaat is a classic and popular Indian street snack. To make it at home, all you need is boiled potatoes, some spices, curd, onion, and coriander leaves. This popular Indian snack is best served with a topping of sev, pomegranate seeds, and green chillies. Scroll down to read the detailed recipe.

Ingredients


4 medium boiled potatoes, 2 tbsp cornflour, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp chaat masala, salt to taste, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander, oil or ghee for shallow frying, ½ cup thick curd, 2–3 tbsp green chutney, 2–3 tbsp tamarind chutney, 2 tbsp finely chopped onion, 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds, 2 tbsp sev, and chaat masala & red chilli powder

To make the tikkis, mix mashed potatoes with cornflour, spices, salt, and coriander.

Now, shape the mixture into flat round patties.

Heat oil or ghee on a tawa and shallow fry on medium heat until golden and crisp on both sides.

For assembling the chaat, place 2 hot tikkis on a plate.

Add curd on top and also drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney.

Also, add chopped onions, pomegranate, and sev. Sprinkle chaat masala & red chilli powder. Serve.
