It is the most expensive sweet of India and comes with a hefty price tag of INR 50,000 per kilogram. The Exotica is prepared by ‘Chhappan Bhog’, a well-known manufacturer of premium sweets and other delicacies from Lucknow. Exotica is a dry mithai which is made by using few rare ingredients gathered from USA, South Africa, Australia and Europe.

The brainchild of a sweet shop in Surat, Gold Ghari is sold for Rs9000 per kilogram. The high price tag is due to the speciality that the sweets come with a covering of 24-karat pure gold leaf. As per the owner of the shop, the sweet very healthy as gold is considered a very beneficial metal in Ayurveda.

If you are thinking that these are your regular Besan Ladoos, then you are mistaken. Created by the ‘Arq Workshop’ in Delhi, these ladoos are filled with the expensive French Valrhona chocolate. On top of that, they are dusted with edible gold. They cost anywhere between Rs21000 and Rs31000 per kilo.

Sold by Rehmat Ali Sweet Corner in Lucknow that was founded in 1865, Kohinoor Gold Halwa is priced at Rs4000 per kilogram. Its ingredients include gold and silver sheets, pine nuts, milk and dried fruits.

The sweets are sold by the '24 Carat Mithai Magic' in Lucknow. These mithais are covered with actual 24-carat gold leaves. You can purchase them for Rs9000 a kilo.

Priced at a whopping Rs9000 a kilo, the Suvrana Mithai is the creation of Prashant Corner of Thane, Mumbai. What makes the sweet so expensive is the ingredients used in making it. They include organic Mamra almonds, which are native to Iran, quality pistachios from Oman and Italy and pure Kashmiri saffron.
