This is what Soha eats for a glowing skin

Coming from the house of Pataudis, Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan is a household name now. She has a beautiful and glowing skin all thanks to her genes. She is someone, who has always been mindful of what she consumes and takes good care of her lifestyle. Since a young age, Soha has been taking care of her skin. With summer just around the corner, she puts even more attention to what she eats to make sure her skin stays healthy and glowing. When asked about some of the foods that keep her skin healthy and shiny, Soha said that “Over the years, I've tried many different foods, but there are three that I swear by for keeping my skin looking its best during the summer season.” So, what are those? Take a look and find out about them.

Almonds

‘You are what you eat’ and it is something that Soha believes in! Her day starts with a handful of almonds, this is one habit she grew up with. “Almonds help me maintain skin health as they contain healthy fats and vitamin E which have been shown to benefit the skin. Moreover, I also read that Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani texts say that almonds are good for skin health and can enhance skin glow. I would recommend everyone to make the consumption of almonds a daily habit as part of their beauty regime.” Whether at home, work, or while travelling, almonds can be eaten anytime. What’s best about almonds is that they can also be consumed in the roasted or flavoured form! (Images courtesy: iStock)

Amla

Amla, which is also called Indian gooseberry, is one of Soha’s favorite foods to consume for better skin health. As Amla is enriched with Vitamin C it helps a lot with her skin woes. As Amla is bitter, Soha likes to consume it in the form of juice. “I cut them into small pieces, dip it in honey and eat or have it in the form of juice,” she shared. Drinking Amla juice regularly really helps in skin exfoliation and helps remove pigmentation or blemishes from her skin as well.

4/4

Beetroot Juice

“I especially like drinking beetroot juice during summer as it adds glow to my skin,” says Soha. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it also helps prevent acne and pimples. She prefers drinking cold-pressed beetroot juice as it helps retain the nutrients and fibres rather than eating it as a curry. As it’s a powerful antioxidant, it helps in keeping the skin moisturized. Drinking beetroot juice and staying hydrated throughout the day aids in flushing out the toxins, and makes you feel rejuvenated.
