Chaitra Navratri 2026: How to make Makhana Dosa for breakfast at home

Makhana Dosa Recipe

This one is for all the dosa lovers who are also planning to fast during the Navratri. Made with soaked makhana, salt, and other basic ingredients, this dosa can be made in a jiffy and is best served with coriander or coconut chutney. Scroll down to read the recipe.

Ingredients required


1 cup makhana, 6 tbsp curd, sendha namak to taste, 1/2 capsicum, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and ghee or oil

Step 1


Soak makhana in water or milk for 30 minutes.

Now, blend it into a smooth puree and transfer into a mixing bowl.

To this, add curd, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it rest for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, chop capsicum and tomato.

Add the veggies to the batter and mix well.

Heat and grease a non-stick pan and pour the batter to form a dosa.

Use ghee or oil to cook it until crisp and golden. Serve hot with green chutney.
